This split level home offers the choice of a spacious guest quarters on the lower level with a luxurious recreation room, or the whole lower level could be separated off as a Mother-in law suite, while still keeping a private office, storage, or additional guest bedroom for use by the upstairs owners.
Everything needed for daily living is on the main level, as is consistent with our many Universal Design homes. Checking in at just under 3,000 square feet of floor space, this home is at the upper end of our Zero-Energy offerings.
Our YF-1 home received a HERS (US Dept. of Energy Home Energy Rating System) rating of 41, (the lower the rating, the more energy-efficient the home) the lowest we had seen or even heard of at the time of construction, without any photovoltaic panels or other means of generating electricity. The YF-1 plan is another of our National Award-Winning Plans, having received a Silver Energy Value Housing Award in 2010.
