This beautiful home was elevated 30″ above grade to provide a more expansive view of the adjacent waterway. While it was designed as a two bedroom with an office, it could easily be a three-bedroom home. If Universal Design is desired to provide handicapped access to the mail floor, the slab could be poured at ground level, and the exterior stairs eliminated. There is a large bonus room over the garage, accessed by a pull-down stairway.
This home won Project of the Year from the local Home Builders Association, and scored a 49 on the HERS scale, without PV installed! The R-1 plan has become one of our more popular plans, and has been adapted to hot dry climates as well as very cold climates.
