The expansive east-facing windows allow the home to heat up naturally each morning, yet the relatively sparse windows on the south side, and large porch overhangs on the west side prevent the home form overheating in the afternoon. The interior solarium next to the fireplace provides a clean, fresh feel to the indoor air quality. Designed for a couple, this house could easily be a three-bedroom home, with the library and studio both converted for sleeping.
