Members of our new family of Positive NRG Homes™, the Seattle Prime plans are examples of how we can either “dress up” or “strip down” a true-net-zero-energy home to fit the needs and budget of our customer. The 1,955 square foot Seattle Prime ++ 1915 plan, on this page, is dressed up with a full wrap-around covered porch and patio, which connects to a detached garage (plans sold separately), with a carport in between. Ideal for the larger rural lot, this plan can either be open upstairs for hobby and office space, or it can have anywhere from one to three bedrooms upstairs for the larger family. The upper floor of the Seattle Prime ++ 1915 plan is just one example of the many ways the upstairs area can be divided, in this case providing two upstairs bedrooms, and a den.
This plan offers up enough south-facing roof area to support over 11.4 kW of solar panels, or 10 kW and a solar hot water system. In most climate zones this will take this home WAY below net-zero-energy, even powering your electric car. When solar panels are also installed on the porch roof, this home can power two electric cars!
We have just completed our Arctic Version of this plan designed to handle temperatures in the -60˚F range!
Our Seattle Prime 1915 plan was recently awarded the National Green Building Award for Concept & Research, our third such award in four years!

What's Included in Our Zero-Energy Home Packages
We provide the most complete plan packages available on the market. We are interested in the ultimate success of your project, not just in selling a set of house plans.
We include foundation plans, foundation details, floor plans of all levels, framing details, floor framing plans, and elevation views from all sides. We also provide an electrical plan, though you will want to modify the lighting to your own tastes. Most importantly, we provide a complete mechanical plan, tailored to YOUR climate zone.
We used to ship either a “Basic Set” of plans, with just one copy of each page, or a “full Set”, which ideally would include enough plan pagers for all of your key suppliers and subcontractors. Now most people prefer to have you send them a PDF to bid from and work from, and they will carry it with them in their portable device. Even banks and building departments are now preferring electronic plan copies.
There are now FedEx Office, Office Max, and similar locations all over the country where you can have full size plans printed at a far lower cost than what we can provide, especially when the cost and time required to ship them across the country is considered. When you need an extra copy of a certain page, you can simply e-mail the pdf page you need to the local outlet, and they will have it all printed and ready for pick-up by the time you arrive. Isn’t technology wonderful!
